color me happy

every fashionista knows shopping is the best therapy. on a gloomy day, there's nothing better than buying fun and brightly colored things to brighten up your mood. I shopped this dress and clutch at Tiramisu alle Fragole on SALE. make sure you pay them a visit before the sales end. the tube dress can also be worn as a knee lenght skirt, so it's very versatile. I balanced everyhting with a little bit of black and camel. hope you like it!

hand in glove, we can go wherever we please

when I was little, I once took my mom's leather gloves without permission and went out to play in the snow. you see, my own woollen gloves would get soaking wet when building a snowman, snow ball fighting or sliding down the ice on my stomach. needless to say I ruined my mom's precious gloves that day and couldn't feel more embarrassed. till this day I haven't even though about investing in a nice pair of leather gloves because I guess at a subconscious level I was afraid I would end up ruining them . but then came the day when the guys at nowistyle sent me these studded beauties and I couldn't be any happier. no playing in the snow with these ones.

in starlight you came from the other side

last week was quite eventful, but I can't complain. first off, I received a big package from nowistyle filled with wonderful things i couldn't wait to try on. then on saturday morning I woke up and discovered a fresh coat of snow outside. I bundled up in my brand new parka and went out to play in the snow. the jacket is perfect for this weather and the lined hood offers great protection from snow or freeze. my new satchel bag was filled with all the trinkets a girl cannot leave the house without. on our way home my guy and I rescued a  wounded little wild dove. we brought him to the house, cleaned and bandaged him and we're gonna keep him a couple more days until he's completely healed. his name is birdy and he's our temporary pet.

welcome to the new age

I'm always on the fence about buying something  that I love but everybody else is already wearing. I've always loved skulls and on one hand I do enjoy the fact that there are so many options out there, but on the other it makes it a bit less appealing. but then I figured I might as well stock up on all I can get my hands on right now and wear them to death (pun intended) when everybody else gets sick of them. florals are quite popular too and I almost bought a shirt with a flower embellished skull on it, but I refrained. instead I got this cozy sweater. the skull details on the leggings are velvety and super nice to the touch.

keep calm and eat macarons

this is what I wore to this year's first blogger meeting with my gals Laura and Claudia. the bottom half of my outfit was way too skimpy for the minus degrees outside, but this is one sacrifice I am always willing to make for fashion's sake. those of you who follow me on facebook (here) have already seen my new acquisition, my pride and joy, the skull sweater. I love how ornate the skull is - makes me think of dia de los muertos. and it would also make an awesome tattoo (now that's an idea!). after our photo session we stopped by a cozy coffee shop for warm drinks, chit chat and delicious macarons.

can you pinpoint the place where you lost control?

oh, sweet days when I was still on vacation in my hometown and didn't have to lift a finger all day long. I'm a bit behind on my posting, so this is something I wore after Christmas to meet my friend Claudia. we took some quick snaps, just in time before my nose turned red just like Rudolf's because of the cold, and then hurried inside the coffee shop to warm up and catch up some good old fashion gossip. ah, if only everyday could be spent like this.

a new year, full of things that have never been

Happy New Year my darlings! may you have a fabulous 2013! another page has been turned, but here I am, still doing what I love the most. I spent Christmas with the family and on this day I had to summon all the will in the world to pull myself out of the cozy bed and step out in the cold for some pics. I really needed some air, but fear not, the circles under my eye were not due to sleep deprivation - quite the contrary, they were due to the fact i was sleeping too much. I am now filled with loads of new energy and ready to take on whatever this new year decides to throw at me. let's have a great one shall we?
