No one should take themselves so seriously

persunmall floral dress pig tails

If I were to judge based on my recent purchases, I would say that this season I will be dressed either in flowy floral dresses or black structural ones. Quite the antagonism. This dress was way  too whimsical to pass on - the school girl mini collar, the eyelet midriff and of course the pretty flowers. I couldn't help myself and decided to throw in some pigtails, along with a teal cardigan and lace tights. Pigtails are definitely the way to go when you want to hide your age. Can't believe I'm gonna quote Blink 182 but here it goes: "my friends say I should act my age/ What's my age again?"

You are the only thing I want to own

H&M floral dress Asos nude flats

Let's say it together: "Florals? For spring? Groundbraking!". Definitely my favorite quote from The devil wears Prada. All jokes aside, I think our minds have been programmed to think florals as soon as the temperatures start to rise and well, flowers start to bloom. It's no secret I love flowers; I have some inked on my skin and that's permanent, you know. I suspect I'll be wearing this dress to pieces this spring and summer. And I am very much looking forward to wearing more flats, especially these cuties I recently picked up from Asos.

There's sugar on your soul

Sense pink lace skirt Vulpilandia necklace purple pumps
♫ Editors - Sugar
The city is filled with pastel colors and it's starting to get to me. Just look at these gorgeous trees and the petals they laid out for me on the ground. The color pink has always been a challenge for me and I guess you could say we've had a love hate relationship along the years. It was surprising for me too, but when the guys at Sense asked me to pick out an item from their website and style it my own way I was instantly drawn to this pink lace skirt. It just stood out, for reasons I couldn't quite explain at first. For one, I've been kinda obsessed with lace lately, but it also makes me think of candy floss and raspberry ice cream. Yummy!

Bonjour!

striped shirt Asos bonjour belt Kristin Perry fringe bracelet

Oui, oui I was in a very French mood that day. Black and white stripes always make me feel this way, but when you throw in a cute belt that says Bonjour, the tableau is complete. I wanted a simple and yet chic ensemble that would get me straight from work to a social fashion event. I mixed together some staple pieces such as the striped shirt and pencil skirt. La piece de resistance was this gorgeous fringed bracelet I recently picked up from Kristin Perry Accessories. It's an eye catcher for sure.

I can go with the flow

school girl outfit forever 21 lace skirt navy blazer floral Converse

She said "I'll throw myself away,
They're just photos after all"
I can't make you hang around.
I can't wash you off my skin.
Outside the frame, is what we're leaving out
You won't remember anyway
I can go with the flow
But don't say it doesn't matter anymore.

Valar morghulis

zara crop top thrifted pleated skirt dragonfly necklace

If I was a character in Game of thrones I would speak High Valyrian and have a swarm of dragonflies as my army. I would only dress in black and gray, of course. Sorry I can't stay longer, gotta run, cause the new season just started.

That's what she said

Of all the sitcoms I've watched in the past few years I miss The Office the most. Oh, the days of 'that's what she said' jokes and good old fashioned office pranks. I spend a fairly large amount of time in an office myself, and it sometimes can to from chaotic to tedious or even frustrating. So I have to find little ways of making it more enjoyable from time to time. That's when I play a little game called 'dress up for work'. You could hardly ever label any piece in my wardrobe as business wear, but this time I think I pulled it off and am quite proud of my office look. But come tomorrow, it will be a whole another story. TGIF, right?
