A whiter shade of pale

Skinny Buddha ruffle long sleeve white dress

2 years ago, I got married at city hall wearing a custom made purple dress with an open back. If I were to do it all over again and let's suppose I were partial to white wedding dresses (which I am not), I would definitely wear this one. I did not pick it up with a wedding in mind, but it does have that certain vibe. Nevertheless, it's a gorgeous dress that can be worn on multiple occasions. I already wore it to work with this black belt and a pair of chunky heel ankle boots. I might have looked a little bit over dressed but I never had an issue with that. During the weekend I dressed it up with this pair of high heel purple boots and a matching bag for date night. And I am already thinking about the next time I'll be wearing it, dressed down a little bit, with a pair of brown flat ankle boots and a couple of layers of long silver necklaces. Who knows, maybe sometime in the future I'll go for a Gothic Lolita styling if I feel like it. The possibilities are endless.

Heaven upside down

Skinny Buddha lace midi skirt

I've been back in the office for a couple of weeks now and my wardrobe needed a little bit of sprucing up. I didn't do much shopping while I was on maternity leave, apart from the items I got through my collaborations, and therefore realized that my office wardrobe was a bit outdated. And because I always try to think outside the box and go for unexpected pieces, I decided that I needed a black midi lace skirt in my life. It's definitely not the first item you might thing of when talking about office attire, but since I am not working in a very restrictive environment, this seemed like the kind of bold choice I could make and get away with. Paired it with a cozy mustard colored sweater, platform boots and a double buckle belt, to add a bit of edge. The other bold recent acquisition is this gorgeous red bag from Musette. I was actually looking to buy the black version but ended up falling for the red one and I have no regrets. No worries if you think this combo is too out there for a day at the office, you can always try for a fancy dinner or out with your friends.
