I could be your flamingo

Pink is definitely not my favorite color, you can tell because I rarely wear it, but I do love it in nature. Flamingos are by far my favorite birds and I remember I was mesmerized when I first saw them during a vacation in Sardinia a few years ago. Therefore, I decided to celebrate these majestic birds and create another vacation inspired look. So there you go, a flamingo overdose. The t-shirt is quite old and I've already worn it in so many combinations, but never in an elegant outfit. The skirt was love at first sight, and I have to admit it was so hard so refrain from buying it in all colors. You can check out a great selection here. If you think this is too much you can always go for a plain white t-shirt, drop the heart shaped sunglasses and let the skirt be the center of attention. I normally would have worn a pair of high heels with this, to get that long legs effect and actually resemble a flamingo, but I have to admit I don't wear high heels that often anymore. These flats are soooo comfortable I never want to take them off. I like the subtle pink shade and the minimalist design, because it makes them super versatile.

Kissing the tortoise shell

I've been fascinated with tortoise shell sunglasses for as long as I can remember. The name is part of it, but my fascination became even greater when I started to see them styled by pin-up girls. Those famous "kissing the tortoise shell" lyrics from Echo and the Bunnymen come to mind as well, even though they were not talking about glasses at all. There's something so chic and timeless about them, and I am so glad I finally found a pair that looks good on me. I don't normally go for black and brown combos, but this time the sunglasses seemed the perfect addition to this gorgeous black and white striped dress. I especially love the classic front slit mixed with the cut off shoulders, which give it a modern vibe. I am obsessed with stripes, as you might have already noticed, but I am always looking for new prints with a twist. This is the third post in a row featuring striped outfits, and I hate to disappoint you but another one is coming up pretty soon. What can I say, the heart wants what it wants.

It's always better on holiday

I feel like I should be writing this post in French, but the truth is my French is a bit rusty so I will spare you. I was in a very playful mood when I put together this outfit, and because we haven't made any plans for vacation this summer, all I do is daydream about it. So for today I imagined we were somewhere in Provence (such a cliché, I know), sitting in a charming little cafe in a small village, having lunch and enjoying the subtle lavender smell. I've got my fancy straw boater hat on, dark sunnies and the most gorgeous white off the shoulder top with tiers and tiers of ruffles on the sleeves, and a chic little striped skirt. I am wearing flats for a change, one because we are on vacation (duh!) and two because they are super comfortable on these cobbled streets. OK, time to wake up and get back to reality, Miha! I am actually only a 5 minute drive away from my apartment, but in this setting I do feel like I am somewhere far away even if just for one second. Do you have any suggestions for this summer vacation?

Baby, life's what you make it

Summer is here! It's time for flaunting what you've got, for crop tops and bright bold colors. I can never resist a striped pattern, especially when it comes in such pretty colors. My stomach is not yet summer ready, looks like that darn baby fat is here to stay, so I am not exactly prepared to flaunt those abs. But I do have a trick up my sleeve. Crop tops are super fun to wear during the hot season, but if you only want to show a tiny little bit of skin, a high waisted midi skirt is the perfect match. I picked this beauty from Woman Fashion and it is even more gorgeous than I expected. You know I am crazy about skirts that have pockets, so double points for this one! My theory is you can never wear too many stripes so I hopped into my cute little striped sandals and I was ready to go. Now the only thing missing is a change of scenery. I need a vacay, pronto!
