Don't you find, some of the time...

I wouldn't consider myself and early trend adopter. I usually wait out and see what stands out and is worth investing in. I had my doubts about culottes, because let's face it, culottes are not easy to wear. I spotted these ones at H&M a while back but was reluctant to try them on. For about 2 weeks they were always there in the back of my mind and that's when I knew I had to buy them. If I was to completely forget about them in the next couple of days, then it would have been a shame to invest in something that would turn out to be a fad. I loved them from the minute I tried them on. My mom thought otherwise, to be honest, but I am hoping that when she sees these pictures she will realize how chic they are, and that not everything is supposed to be (what she or most people consider) flattering. How do you feel about culottes?

I am the passenger, I ride and I ride

I am flying to the UK again today for work, so I will have to keep this short and sweet. It seems like I will be travelling a lot for my new job so I might as well get adjusted to a life on the go. A couple of days ago I went to karaoke for the very first time, and the song I sang ... well, sang is a bit of an overstatement... was Iggy Pop's The Passenger. I thought it was very appropriate. Does this qualify as a jet setter outfit? I belive so.

The color of the trap

I am taking a short break from my noir disposition as of late, and decided to don a pastel infused ensemble. It might be spring according to our calendars but the temperatures these past few days are stating otherwise. Now I know wearing pastels for spring is not groundbreaking at all, as neither is wearing florals, but I like to do this all the same. It's some sort of a way of transitioning from one season to another until you figure out what your favorite trends are and what are the pieces worth investing in. Pastels are in that sense a safety net if you will. So here is to paying it safe and welcoming moody spring into our lives.

Losing my religion

If you see me walking down the street, chances are I have my headphones on, away from reality in a world of my own. And I am probably singing in low key as well, or mumbling lyrics, so probably I am quite an odd sight to see. I listen to music as much as I can, whether I am out and about, at work (yes at work), and especially if I'm at home. You've probably noticed that most of my post titles are lyrics or song titles, so it's fair to say that music is a huge part of my life. Every since I got these leather headphones (thanks hun for the wonderful gift), I've never left home without them. They add the perfect amount of edge to whatever outfit I am wearing that day.
