The famous robe coat

purple robe coat palton matlasat petrecut

Yes, robe coats are still on trend this season and even though I was not an early adopter, now I simply cannot resist them. Especially when they come in a delightful color such as this one. Forget the classic raincoat or fur coat, this is the kind of coat you can wear with nothing underneath when you're on a mission to seduce someone. That's the vibe I was going for, but to tell you the truth I was wearing a lace body and an unbuttoned cardigan underneath because... well, I wasn't on a mission, and freezing was not on my agenda today. I can also see this type of coat worn with sneakers and sweats to go to the supermarket and pick up some milk or with jeans, a pair of ankle boots and a turtleneck sweater for a lunch date with your girlfriends. Yes yes, I know I wore the wrong bag with this outfit, it's much too big and casual. That's why I decided to ditch it halfway through our shoot.
I had a hair appointment today and got pampered as per usual at Dichiseria. Loving these loose curls and my new hair color. I almost asked my stylist to put my hair on some big curlers and lend me a cigarette, that would have been the perfect look for this robe coat. Don't you think?

Aces up my sleeve

bell sleeve black chunky sweater

Not all black sweaters are created equal. And that's a fact. Also, you cannot have too many black sweaters in your wardrobe, and that's another fact. This season I fell in love with this bell sleeve chunky sweater and I'm going to wear it to pieces. It's so soft and cozy and the design is surely unexpected. I decided to dress it up a bit for its first outing, so I paired it with skinny jeans and purple pumps. I frayed the hems of the jeans myself a while ago and they look so much better when worn with high heels. Pretty soon it will be too cold for such an outfit, but I am sure I can find a myriad of other ways to wear my new favorite sweater.

Wardrobe remix: fall maternity outfits

fall maternity outfit ideas

My baby girl turns one year old in a few days!!! Oh dear, how did time fly by so fast? Naturally I became nostalgic and started looking at photos from last year. It seems like only yesterday you were inside mommy's belly and here you are today getting ready to take your fist steps. Being pregnant was such a wonderful experience for me and I surely had so much fun with my outfits. The only item I ever bought from the maternity section was a pair of jeans, but other than that I just mixed and matched items from my own wardrobe and sometimes I borrowed a few sweaters from my husband's. Hopefully my trip down memory lane will inspire you as well. Here are my favorite fall maternity outfits!

Red velvet revolution

Wine Red Spaghetti Straps Velvet Dress Fishnet Stockings

It seems fall has paid us a very short visit this year and it already feels like winter. The bottom line is this outfit is in no way weather appropriate, but I decided to brave the cold and freeze my ass off instead of hiding it behind a massive coat. The minute I spotted this wine red velvet dress and added it to my shopping cart, I knew I wanted to wear it with fishnet stockings. And so began the hunt for the perfect pair, because I had a very specific type in mind and the eyelets needed to be the exact right size. My love for tights is well known by now, but all these years I stayed away from fishnet tights because for some unknown reason, in the back of my mind I always associated them with something vulgar. The only context I could have maybe seen them in was a punk outfit, but that wasn't exactly my style either. As I've learned in all these years of exploring and experimenting with different styles, you should never say never. A couple of years ago I turned a complete 180 and realized fishnet stockings can be super elegant and refined if paired correctly. It took me a while to adopt them, and now as you can imagine, they are my favorite pair. Is there something you swore you wouldn't be caught wearing and later on changed your mind?

Lidl Art Spot

  1. Sa aveti peste 18 ani pentru a putea inscrie pana la 3 fotografii pe surprize.lidl.ro/art-spot , respectand regulamentul disponibil pe site;
  2. Fiecare inscriere trebuie sa contina: titlu si o scurtă descriere a proiectului ce trebuie sa cuprinda conceptul lucrarii;

Premiul II: O drona foto
Premiul III: O camera foto 360˚

*fotografiile folosite in realizarea proiectului sunt scan-uri ale unor ilustrații apartinand domnului Aurelian Scorobete*

Pleats please

Skinny Buddha Romanian Fashion Blogger Pleated Skirt Crop Sweater

It's been a long while since I've put together a look with a retro vibe. Almost all of the pieces in this outfit are thrifted and although I've worn then many times along the years, they still feel pretty actual to me. The pleated midi skirt is clearly a wardrobe staple and always in style. The crop sweater, although it probably isn't that old, makes me think of the 50's or 60's and the outfits Joan used to wear on Mad Men. I used to love wearing green when I was a redhead, but I love it with this natural hair color as well. The truth is I woke up yesterday thinking about this sweater because my first appointment of the day was a coffee tasting at Starbucks. I don't normally do this, but I loved the idea of matching their logo. The only difference was that I wore sneakers for the tasting and changed into high heels for the shoot. Hope you guys enjoy this outfit as much as I enjoyed wearing it. Have a great week ahead!
