The time has come again

It wouldn't be fall without the mandatory photo shoot among the fallen leaves. But it seems that this year we came a bit too soon. Sure there are yellow leaves on the ground but most of the trees are still quite green. The thing was, I wanted my outfit to contrast the fall colors, given that I was wearing mostly black and a pop of red. We all love those dark rich fall tones such as maroon, orange, dark green and mustard yellow, but it doesn't mean that's all we should wear during this season. I loved wearing red when I was a blonde but I have to admit I was a little bit on the fence regarding this color once I turned back to my natural hair color. Now that my tips have turned lighter I thought I would give red another chance, and of course my next thought was to make a hair appointment, and pronto. I debated long and hard what to pair with this asymmetric red top, because while I did love the gold metallic details, I didn't want to add another color to the mix, so black seemed like the right choice. Not that I needed one, but any excuse to wear leather pants is fine by me. Hope you like this combo. Have a great week ahead!

Star of the season, the oversized scarf

Star of the season, the over sized scarf Houndstooth Fringed Edge Shawl Wrap Scarf

It's finally scarf season! And although Sunday was an exceptionally sunny day, I just couldn't leave the house without my gigantic houndstooth scarf. Over the years I've learned to love and embrace oversized scarves, but this ones is by far my absolute favorite, and the biggest for that matter. The good news is it can double as a blanket. As soon as my new couch will be delivered I will demonstrate, just you wait! Seriously now, you cannot imagine how soft, warm and cozy this thing is. Cannot wait to wear it as a shawl as well, over knit dresses. For today's look I paired it with a basic black tee, a leather jacket and boyfriend jeans. I debated if I should wear flat lace up boots or high heels but in the end the chunky heel ankle boots won. Everything was just perfect, my sister and I found this beautiful spot to take pictures, we took a stroll in the park in our hometown and found some giant sycamore fallen leaves to play with. Unfortunately our stroll ended on a sad note, as I accidentally broke one of the lenses of these sunglasses. The worst part is they were my husband's and I just borrowed them for the shoot. Hopefully I can replace it, otherwise I'll have to buy him a new pair.

Seven nation army

Army green fall coat

I've always loved military inspired garments and an army green long coat was exactly what my wardrobe was missing this season. This shade of green never goes out of style and it's such a perfect choice for fall. One may say it has even become a cliche, but I say it's a classic. This coat has a certain air of mystery for me, of strictness, discipline and austerity. I wanted to keep all of the other elements of the outfit minimal so I opted for all black with a pair of skinny ripped jeans and a turtleneck sweater. No make-up except for this Vice Lipstick by Urban Decay in a dark tone called Blackmail and a pair of dark sunglasses. Tucked my hair into the sweater to add more drama. I look straight out of a spy movie, right? Agent Skinny Buddha is out on a mission!

Ain't no party like a Stylish Circle Party!

Stylish Circle Launch Event Party

As you might have already seen on social media, this weekend I attended a two day event organized for the launch of StylishCircle.ro. After their successful .com and .de versions, it was time for them to launch the site in Romania as well. Stylish Circle is an online platform that allows users to browse the latest trends, upload style snaps and get feedback from the community, gather points and earn gift cards, create outfits and inspiration boards and buy designer clothes on sale. The organizers invited over 40 bloggers from all over the country for a fashionable event in Timisoara, filled with fun and entertaining activities.
The first morning started with a meet and greet at Alt Pub where we mingled with our fellow bloggers, met the Stylish Circle team and attended a presentation about their platform. Tudor Personal Tailor sent down the runway their latest menswear collection, and the (mostly) female audience was enchanted, as you can imagine. We took a delicious break for lunch and indulged in a little bit too many sweets, but who could resist the wonderful display put on by Seneville. Next we were invited on a tour of the Smartfit2 Studio where some chose the fitness class while others, me included, did some laps in the swimming pool and then relaxed in the jacuzzi. An adrenaline filled surprise was waiting for us next. Everyone pushed the pedal to the metal in a karting race. The night ended with the much awaited #StylishParty at Alt Club. I couldn't have been more excited about their purple dress code!
The second day of the event started with a coffee tasting at Aethernativ, where our host Bogdan spilled all the secrets. The one from Burundi was my favorite. We then all gathered in the Union Square for a group photo, hugs and farewells until the next Stylish Circle event!
A big thank you goes out to the team for organizing such a wonderful event and bringing together so many beautiful people.

Fashion Fridays Fall Fair

Fashion Fridays photos shoot Moritz Eis

As promised, here are the photos from our photo shoot for the Fashion Fridays Fall Fair. My favorite thing about this event, besides meeting so many talented people, is getting pampered for the photo shoots and wearing outfits created by local designers. As mentioned in a previous post, Urban Decay provided us with the most amazing make-up products and Denisa made me look super glam. I absolutely adore this make-up. My outfit couldn't have been any less glamorous, so I was super excited to style this dress and skirt by V for Vladuta. The truth is I had a hard time choosing between the two, so in the end I decided to wear them both. I wore the golden dress as a top and I love how you can see a glimpse of it in the slit of the skirt. And isn't this an absolutely fabulous skirt? I love the drama of the floor length, the high slit on the leg and the stunning print. These two were a match made in designer heaven. Moritz Eis were kind enough to invite us for an exclusive tasting just one day before their grand opening. I fell in love with their blueberry ice cream. As always, my partner in crime was the beautiful Laura from Living in a Shoe.

Si nu-i asa ca fusta asta este fabuloasa? Mi-a placut mult efectul dramatic creat de lungimea pana in pamant, slitul inalt pe picior si imprimeul.

Fell in love with a bomber jacket

floral birds bomber jacket

It's hard nowadays not to fall in love with a bomber jacket. Especially with one that comes in a whimsical birds and flowers print. We're seeing them everywhere these days and they are for sure the most covetable item this season, perfect for these in between days when it's not really that cold outside but you cannot leave the house without a jacket either. It's nice to see some trends come back into fashion. I remember in secondary school I had a hand-me-down white varsity jacket with a pick collar and cuffs and I literally wore it to pieces. I remember feeling so sad when one season I realized I outgrew it and couldn't wear it anymore. Even though it had become quite ragged and torn it was still my favorite jacket. Varsity and bomber jackets are quite similar, they have pretty much the same structure, it's mostly the print and cuffs that set them apart. Varsity jackets are sportier and often display team or university logos, while bomber jackets, even though originally intended for pilots, have been brought into street style fashion in a myriad of colorful prints. For today's look I decided to pair my bomber with a pair of jeans with a frayed hem, a recent diy project of mine, a basic white t-shirt and grey loafers.

I listen to bands that don't even exist yet

Fashion Fridays photo shoot Urban Decay makeup

Hipster much? The moment I saw this t-shirt I knew it had to be mine. Well, I actually bought one for my sister as well, so I guess it had to be ours. We're not really into anything mainstream when it comes to music and we're always on the lookout for the next cool band nobody's heard of. yeah. we're cool like that! But that's not exactly what I wanted to talk about here. With so many photographers present at the latest edition of the Fashion Fridays Fall Fair, a photo shoot was bound to happen. As I was telling you in my previous post here, I had my makeup done by Denisa with Urban Decay products, and I was over the moon excited with the result. The makeup was originally intended for another outfit created by a local designer (photos are coming soon), but I thought it complemented my outfit as well. It gave my look a lot of edge and some rock and roll attitude. I am not used to wearing this much makeup during the day but it doesn't hurt to try it once in a while.
