Hold on to me

I took a short unplanned absence from the blog and other social media platforms, and now I am back in business. I wasn't away on vacation, wasn't doing anything special, it just happened. I guess I needed a break from all this and recharge my batteries. Well, that didn't go as planned, as my baby girl decided to wake up three times per night, again! I might be even more exhausted now than I was before the break. 

As you can see, I am not back with a bang. In fact quite the opposite. I am wearing one of the most basic, even trivial outfits I've put out there lately, but the truth is this is the way I dress most days. Wore this the other day at a store opening and I felt great. I realized I've been clinging to this high waisted denim skirt for years now without wearing it, and not because I am a hoarder, but because some pieces of clothing are worth holding on to. It survived my many closet clearances and somehow never ended up in the donation pile or the 'for sale' one. It's got a bit of a sentimental value even though it's thrifted, and somehow I knew one day it will be back in style. I might go out and buy a few embroidered patches and give this old thing an update. This way it will feel like brand new and then I can keep it for a few years more.
