The power suit shortcut

So happy it's almost warm enough for bare legs...almost! I am wearing skin toned tights though, so I am faking it. But the good news is it's warm enough for shorts. Now who doesn't love a pair of shorts? Sure, most of the times I go for denim, they are my favorite during the summer, but when I saw this pair I knew I had to have them. They're a bit more sophisticated and I knew I wanted to incorporate them into an edgy look. That's why I decided to pair them with a blazer I would normally wear to the office or to an important meeting. I just rolled up the sleeves and I instantly gave it a more relaxed vibe. I debated long and hard what to wear underneath the blazer. My first thought was a white button down shirt, but that would have taken the outfit into a whole different direction: business on the top, party on the bottom. No, that wasn't a good idea. A light bulb went on in my head and I remembered this t-shirt I bought for my husband a while ago and decided to borrow it. Since I started on this route I decided to borrow his Ray Ban sunglasses as well. Guess who bought these for him? Me, of course. You see I am very practical that way, because I love to borrow things from his wardrobe. I love this outfit, I think it turned out super awesome. I'm calling it my power suit shortcut. Plus I was having a good hair day, which is quite rare nowadays.
