This is definitely my favorite time of the year. The weather is just perfect, not too cold and not too hot, the trees are in bloom and the birds are chirping every morning outside my window. It's warm enough to leave the coat at home and just wear a cozy sweater. My only regret is I didn't order this ribbed turtleneck sweater earlier this year. Soon enough it will be too warm so I am making the most of wearing it now. I was telling you in a recent post (here) how much I am enjoying wearing turtlenecks again and how happy I am they are making a comeback. This one transitions perfectly into spring and it literally goes with everything. I love the ivory color and I've tried it also with a pair of light grey jeans and suede ankle boots for a casual everyday outfit and it looks great. Today I am showing you how it can be dressed up. First of all I decided to wear high heels but wasn't sure with what kind of boots and what color. Only when I picked up the striped skirt I figured it would be best to keep the outfit in black and white and went for these platform ankle boots. The sunglasses always add a bit more mystery to any outfit.
It's funny how things can look so different through the lens of a camera. Looking at this building you wouldn't necessarily think of shooting it or posing in front of it. At least I didn't. But if you distance yourself a little bit from it and increase the aperture of your lens, things start looking a lot better. Actually the reason why I wanted to shoot in this location was the magnolia tree they have in the front yard. It reminds me of the tree in my primary school's backyard and how beautiful it looked in spring. I can't wait to come back once this one is in full bloom, I am sure it will look spectacular. I promise I will take a photo so you can see it better.
